JOB DESCRIPTION:
This Kitchen Helper position will assist with the Fruit & Vegetable Program, assist in food preparation, assist in serving of students and staff, and will assist in the general clean-up of the food service areas. All duties of the position will be performed within the scope of Kiona-Benton City School District policies and procedures, including regular attendance and punctuality.
MINIMUM REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
1. Possess a high school diploma or GED.
2. Possess a Food Handlers card.
3. Experience in food services and serving large groups preferred.
4. Be in good physical condition (with no history of back problems, etc.).
5. Ability to operate dishwasher.
6. Be able to lift 30 lbs on a regular basis.
7. Demonstrated ability to work well with children.
8. Demonstrated ability to work with students and staff in a team environment.
9. Communicate with an open and pleasant manner.
10. Be firm and consistent when managing students.
11. Be flexible and handle change in routine calmly.
12. Be punctual and meet deadlines.
13. Work with minimal supervision.
14. Other duties as assigned.

SPECIFIC DETAILS
Monday-Friday for 3.5 hours per day at the Elementary/MS Kitchen temporary through the remainder of 2024 due to a leave of absence.
