(ON CALL AS NEEDED BASIS)

 

POSTION DESCRIPTION

 

The Kitchen Helper subsitute is an on call as needed basis position and assists in food preparation, serving of students and staff, and will assist in the general clean up of the food service areas.

 

MINIMUM REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

1. Possess High School Diploma or GED

2. Possess a Food Handlers Permit

3. Experience in food services and serving large groups preferred

4. Be in good physical condition (with no history of back problems, etc.)

5. Ability to operate dishwasher

6. Be able to lift 30 lbs on a regular basis

7. Demonstrated ability to work well with children

8. Demonstrated ability to work with students and staff in a team environment

9. Communicate with an open and pleasant manner

10. Be firm and consistent when managing students

11. Be flexible and handle change in routine calmly

12. Be punctual and meet deadlines

13. Work with minimal supervision

14. Other duties as assigned

 

Location: Elementary/Middle/High School Kitchen

Reports to: Supervisor of Food Services

 

Application Procedure: In-District staff must submit an on-line application or letter of interest by 3:00 p.m. (PST) on or before the closing date or until filled.

 

Out-of-District applicants, in addition to addressing the qualifications in a letter of interest must also complete the District application, submit three letters of current recommendation and be prepared to provide evidence of coaching experience.
